Was surprised when I picked this last season.
Five stigmas instead of the usual three
from one flower
Had another delicious Saffron inspired meal tonight.
On the right hand side of the bowl is the Chicken Korma with Saffron, served with a Vegetable Curry, Rice,
Poppadoms and Naan Bread
"Research out of Australia and Italy indicates that Age Related Macular Degeneration patients given a daily dose of 20 mg of saffron per day reported partial restoration of vision. Professor of Neurology, Jonathan Stone, of Sydney University, gave 25 patients suffering from macular degeneration 20 mg of Saffron for 3 months, and then tested their maculas and retinas for neuron electrical conductivity. 23 of the 25 patients showed significant improvement, as well as reporting that they could see much better." Another great day yesterday at Farm Gate Market, sun was shining it was a lovely Tassie day. Had some interesting/informative chats with customers, as they purchased our Saffron. We even had our first return customer 😍 She enjoyed using her first jar of Eladnelle Farm Saffron, so she came back to purchase our 1.5 gram - 'Absolutely Devoted to Saffron' jar. We were chuffed!
Saffron is a powerful spice high in antioxidants.
It has been linked to health benefits, such
as improved mood, libido, and sexual function,
as well as reduced PMS symptoms and enhanced weight loss.
Best of all, it’s easy to add to your diet.
Try adding saffron into your favourite dishes to take advantage of its potential health benefits.
When you want to get the best out of your Eladnelle Farm Saffron please make sure you soak it for the recommended 24-hours, so you can extract as much flavour, colour and aroma as possible. Look at this photo of our Saffron after 10 minutes, then 24 hours of soaking in a few mls of tepid water.
Jen & Lee own and operate Eladnelle Farm. They produce and sell high-quality Tasmanian Saffron.
